Operation Shiloh Curriculum
The OpShiloh curriculum is divided into two modules:
- Understanding our enemy: we deconstruct terrorism from the Israeli standpoint: What precisely is terrorism? How does it affect an open, democratic society? How are we to understand the worldview of an al-Qaeda or Hamas terrorist? How does Israel prosecute the Terror War? What part of Israel’s experience translates to America’s War on Terror? We underscore the common cause between the United States of America and the State of Israel in the War on Terror and provide insight into how the IDF, the most experienced anti-terror force in the world, successfully combat terrorism in all its forms.
- Hands-on-Training: we provide state-of-the-art anti-terror techniques and threat assessment training to minimize the chances of becoming a victim of terror at home in America. Aside from extensive seminar material, this module includes daily Krav Maga (Israeli hand-to-hand combat instruction), terror attack simulations and live fire exercises with automatic weapons. Course participants go home armed with the knowledge and awareness to help prevent a terror attack at their local church, synagogue, school, or community center.
Is there a need for this kind of training?
According to the Federal government, the answer is absolutely YES.There are between 1,200 and 5,000 al-Qaeda sleeper cells currently in place in the US. There have been hundreds of documented hostile surveillance incidents against Jewish and Christian targets around the US. These threats are not hypothetical, and are likely to be around for a long time to come. Federal and local law enforcement cannot be everywhere at once, but a trained and alert citizenry can be a powerful ally in their daunting task.
You will be trained by seasoned IDF personnel and ex-security operatives. The OpShiloh course is all about firsthand training – our instructors didn’t “get it from a book.” Our instructors include a former headmaster of the GSS Training Academy (Israel’s FBI), former Chief Security Officer for El Al Airlines, and Chief Security Officer responsible for all Israeli Embassies and Consulates in Europe.
You will be based at a facility used to train elite IDF and special forces. We take you inside the War on Terror usually restricted from civilian view. You will be drilled in the art and science of terror prevention and response. You will see Israeli military equipment, and review military strategy and tactics. You will take home images and experiences that you will carry for the rest of your life.
