Getting The Best Gaming Laptop

| Posted in Gaming

Once you go online and start looking for the best gaming laptop reviews you’ll most likely stumble upon a wide variety of different opinions. If you create a new thread in any of the bigger gaming forums asking which gaming laptop is the best you’ll literally get swamped with answers that are completely different from each other. As you can imagine, there’s a lot of gaming laptops that are great for gamers just like you or a loved one — you just gotta know which one to pick.

You might feel like you’re missing out on something by not buying the most expensive gaming laptop, but in reality you’re not. There is no definitive answer as to which gaming laptop is the best. You’re gonna have to make a smart decision based on a few criteria.

Start Here

Whenever someone’s hunting for the best gaming laptops I hope someone tells them this is the place where you’re supposed to start off your journey. In my opinion the first place you should look is at the ASUS GX501.

Speed is your friend when it comes to gaming laptops. The higher the processing speed the better. Needless to say, one of the most important aspects of a gaming laptop is the speed. It’s what marks your gaming laptop from regular laptops. The average laptop won’t provide you with the speed needed to play your favorite games in a mobile way.

Today you should be looking for gaming laptops with a dual or quad-core processor. The Intel Core i5 and i7 processors are quite famous for being great.

You’ll need at least 2GB of RAM as a bare minimum. Get as much RAM as possible. It’s not too expensive in today’s market. Your gaming laptop will be using the RAM to run heavy games and applications.

Luckily, there’s gaming laptops with 4 and 8 GB of RAM.

Look for at least 320GB of hard drive and a speed of 7200 RPMs. Needless to say, videos, photos, games and music take up enormous amounts of space on your gaming laptop. You’ll need at least 320 GB of hard drive space on your gaming laptop to store a couple of today’s games.

Also, if you get the choice — try going for a so-called SSD hard drive and not just an average hard drive. SSD stands for Solid State Drive. SSD’s are the future, so you might as well get yourself one now and you won’t have to upgrade your newly bought gaming laptop at all next year.

Get the largest screen for your budget. Gaming laptops need quite big displays contrary to average laptops. Today’s gaming laptops are available with a screen size of 15″ all the way up to 20″ or more. I suggest you find a laptop whose screen is able to play stuff in HD — which means much, much better playing of your high-end games.

Keep the things above in mind when looking for a gaming laptop and I don’t doubt that you’ll find the best gaming laptop quickly.
